Just picked up a Brusletto Fiskern fishing knife, with a cork and birch handle that allows it to float if dropped in the water. Totally different from my other 'fishing' knife, a SOG SEAL.

I got back this pretty old, 10in. blade Kukri I forgot at a friend's house on Feb last year, but never had it returned

Yesterday it arrived in a box and today I've taken it out for cleaning and take some shots

Handle was very worn out and a pain to use for extended time and work, so I wrapped it with what was at hand...

I've shown this knife before (a Helle Symfoni) but I've just finished this new sheath for it.  The reasons were twofold; a) the sheath that comes with it holds the knife very high and I'm not convinced by the retention and b)  I'm left handed. :D

Cheers mate. :D  The quality is a long way off being good enough to sell, but it's good enough for me to use.  It'll also fit a good few other knives I have, pretty much anything with a 3-4 inch blade.

I used a double running stitch on it (and quite a bit of glue ;))

Found these blades at a local flea market today for $1.50 apiece still wrapped in their original packing. Not sure whether they are new or o;d as the packaging was sealed vinyl plastic. Look to be filet knife blades but I think I'll make up some handles(all different material)and use them as steak knives.

Have been working on this Kabar . Did a bit to the handle and replaced the blade coating with a blued finish.
