Fellow Nuts!
I obtained this nice looking folder which I know nothing about except taht there is LSZ and Rostfrei as a tang stamp.
Scales are wood, I think and the tool loadout is like the classic officers knife.

I put a Spartan in the pics for size reference.

Back tools are a little stubborn and are soaking in oil. The Bail is loose on one side. Shall I loose it completely or try to reaffix it?

I like that one a lot  :tu:

If you like it so much - any hints?

It has rusted liners and wooden scales - How do I go about cleaning it toroughly without damaging the wood and how do I preserve the wood scales?

Sorry Thomas I missed this
I would try green kitchen scourer and a little stick, then oil the scales with linseed oil/white spirit mix  :salute:

I'm not IN, but I'm pretty close to Sofia... BUT. I've never really been interested in .. knifey knives i.e. sth. different from MTs ... only now am I getting more interested in this very type of sharp stuff, lol, i.e. real knives.. which ... I should stop right now, but anyway. So yeah, I'd heard about them, but I didn't even know they were Bulgarian until recently   Anyway, when I looked at them.... most look a tad old-fashioned, resembling some knives grandpas used to have here. I'm not into that type of carry yet :D Maybe some day... Also, they're a bit too expensive for what I see/like. I wouldn't give more than 80lv for anything (knife, flashlight, wallet..). It's just too much for me to spend on something... well, useless and only hobby-related :D

They do have a modern model too.. and they are  all pretty...  but, bear in mind that they are quite big too.

Maybe you can visit them and write a review about the shop.

That's a nice find mate.  Isn't that Okapi supposed to have a ring attached to the locking back-strap?

The lock is missing the nub that the ring is attached too, also looks like it has been bent backwards quite badly.
The blade usually has a forward cant.

Countless animals have been skinned with one of these sharpened on a concrete stoep, yet we pay a hundred times for a knife that does the same job...oh well its a sickness without a cure I think.
