Heh...was talking to wife on cell phone while typing...lost track and hit the submit button. Anyways, it was far from a real test of the knifes ability, but what I did do has zero effect on the edge...shaved just as well after as before. It is a big knife with good wieght towards the front so chopping with it is fairly easy. I wrapped the cord around my hand to prevent any accidents like sending the knife flying across the yard if I lost my grip.

There is minor wear to the finish towards the edge, but nothing that really bothers me. It will probably wear off over time with use as many coatings do which personally does not bother me so long as I keep the wax on it from time to time to prevent rust.

As long as they are available (Chinese made ones are discontinued) then it is a great knife for a good bit under a hundred bucks. The sheath is good heavy duty leather. I dont know if it is also made in China, it seems as good as the old US made TM sheaths.

I'm glad you like it, as the Traily is one of my all time favourite knives :)
