Looking for a portable saw
« on: December 21, 2008, 07:26:58 PM »
Right now I'm looking at two saws, the bahco folding saw or the sawvivor. Bahco blade is 8" long and is more compact, sawvivor blade is 15" long but bigger when folded, of course more capable too, bonus that extra blade can be stored in handle.

ANy thoughts on either?

Well I really like the look of the Sawvivor, but then I like bucksaws in general :)

Having said that I used to have a Bahco Laplander and really can't recommend it enough :tu:

Yeah I saw his video too. I don't plan to do anything as drastic as that thou, so I'm not sure if I really need the capability of the sawvivor.

The Buck saws look really nice.. I was just looking at them on the web.. I have experience with their Alpha Crosslock and it is a great saw..
