At least he wasn't using a SOG.  With the compound leverage that would hurt twice as much.

:D :D :D No Cacherx4, that is not me, I don't do that kind of things with my multitools...............yet.

I think that Leatherman might want to commercialize that use for their tools, this could be the slogan "LM for  SM"  >:D

I didn't really think it was...I like that slogan though, it may bring a whole new clientele to LM.

The SportRatchet is an interesting tool from a collector standpoint, but I wouldn't get one as a user.  The idea was an interesting one- rather than center a multitool around pliers, Victorinox based it on a ratcheting screwdriver.

Everything works well enough, and there's a handy wrench hidden away insode the body of the SportRatchet, but overall it's pretty bulky and really only has a few implements.  It has less options than a basic Spartan model but it's bigger than a SwissChamp.  Unless you find yourself desperately in need of a ratcheting screwdriver, or you want an exceptional piece of Victorinox History for your collection, I wouldn't suggest it.

I know it's not a multi but since were talking ratcheting srewdrivers. This is probably the most used tool around my house.

A good ratcheting screwdriver is worth it's weight in gold for sure, but the Victorinox Sport Ratchet is like the LM Crunch- pretty specialized and not much for all around use.

Probably better to get a SwissTool and a screwdriver like yours!

What are those little hex cutouts I'm seeing on the bottom of the SportRatchet?  Is that part of the "handy wrench?"

Indeed it is.  In these pics you can see the whole wrench, and where it sits when it's tucked away inside.  There are alot of really neat ideas in this tool, just unfortunately as a whole it doesn't really work out.

That blue Farmer is quite eye-catching. Laying there next to your SwissTool, I can't help but think:

Wouldn't it be neat if Vic offered those same type of faceted blue scales on their multi tools?  :)

I was hoping for different colors, but the texture would be nice too.  Of course, it would shoot the ruler all to heck.

Who is this "Def" guy I keep hearing about?  :P

Seriously, the blue Farmer pics were in the Gadget Forum, and of all places in the flashlight thread!  Seems we got a little off topic there...

But, if you guys pretend to be surprised this weekend, I'll show you a few things I did for December on SOSAKOnline...
