Whistles

I picked up an ACME Tornado 2000 a couple of weeks ago.  ACME claims it's the world's loudest whistle (122 decibels!?!) and I believe them.  One short, split-second blast of air into this whistle and my ears ring for 30 minutes.

I have one of these.. don't dare to blow hard into it yet.

They are incredibly loud. It wouldn't surprise me if they can cause temporary hearing damage to the user.

Don't forget to close your ears with your hands when you'll blow, they are so lighweight that you can hold with you mouth

I really like the tone of those ones, loud but not shrill.

My Brother was given one of these today  as a gift and that's what we thought they sounded like
I was expecting Norman Pitkin (Norman Wisdom in a film I can't remember the name of) to come running in dressed in a police uniform

i reckon one of those acme tornado whistles would be a good thing to have for someone working on there own on a lift etc (like me in a few years i hope )
