The prototype doesn't make sense to me. Just get a Skeletool. The stripped down, lightweight, and relatively small Freestyle is different enough that I could see owning one as well as my Skeletool.
Having a Freestyle would be like making love to a beautiful woman with no legs WAIT A MINUTE!!!!!! No legs would make it easier!!!
Note that the serrated and plain blades are reversed on the standard and CX versions of the Freestyles from the standard and CX versions of the Skeletools.Def

I can just see it now there we are (a few friends) perhaps in the shop or rec-room as I hand over a couple of beer's to celebrate the new Leatherman Freestyle and then in embarrasment "hang on guys just have to run upstairs for a bottle opener". sean
