Would anyone like to fill me in on why it seems that quite a few people EDC 2 torches? I'm curious.

For me, it is for backup, in case of failiure. I operate on the one is none, two is one principle.

Same here :)

Sometimes it's also handy to have torches that run on different batteries types to, unless your torch of choice will feed more than one battery type (ie the Gerber Infinity and Quark Mini AA) :)

I don't carry more than one torches anymore, not enough pocket space.

I do like to have one in my organiser (normally a 1xAA) and one on my keys (a 1xAAA).  That way I have something small to hand for most jobs and something with a little more guts if I need it.

you have no idea how much i want that knife!

Save up and invest in a user.  You won't regret it.  :tu:

:o

as much as id like too, there a bit rich for me  :(

^ probably for back up

It is a lot of money, but depends how you look at it.  As a user the Sebbie (IMO of course) is about as perfect as a knife could get.  You could easily blow more than the cost of a Sebbie just looking for a folder you are happy with.  So save money by buying a sebbie.  :D

+1 on what Benner said.  You have to handle one to truly appreciate it, and granted they aren't for everyone.  But I am rarely without mine, and now that I have a sharpmaker I can keep it sharp.  It was hard to do with my other set ups, but now its hair popping sharp, and it stays that way.

Here is my current EDC setup.  I forgot to put my keychain in the pic which has a USB flash drive on it for computer work and repair.

LG ENV2
Sony MP3 Walkman
Bic Roundstic pen
Fenix P3D
Doc Allen Versatool with most needed bits
Pocketwrench 2
Swisscard lite
Gerber folding knife

and some of it fits in the stock Versatool pouch.

 Wheres your MT lovenhim?  :pok: Just kidding, nice set up  :tu:

I have gone from carrying two full sized MT's to just carrying a small sideclip sometimes.  I always have a SAK on me though, along with the rest of the EDC standards such as phone(Blackberry Curve), flashlight(streamlight microstream), folder(cheapo from wally that I don't care about), and money clip with cash, driver licence, and credit card.  I usually keep my LM Blast in my EDC bag along with a backup SAK and flashlight.

I must say, out of all the items I have in my EDC collection, my little streamlight micro stream is the most used item aside from my Blackberry.  I use it and my SAK more than any of my Multis.  For weight purposes, I have even started to remove the MT from the on-person line up, but never removed a SAK once.  I just rotate'em.
