Found it, the three on the bottom are my everyday ones weather pending, the one in the middle I've had for a while but haven't worn until I put the patch on last week, the other two on top are the ones I picked up for a buck, that one kinda like your Tilley is by orvis, not a bad hat, and the leather one is Australian,  JR

Don't know, that one looks like it has a bit too much mesh to be stiff.

There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

Very nice. and an interesting way of carrying an extra battery. Does it just go in the pocket or do you carry it in a pouch, bag, ...

Schneider, the spare battery just goes in my pocket, the 2 inner tube bands cover the connections to stop any short...I'll get a dedicated battery case at some point as most of my lights are CR123 so makes sense to have a spare cell carrier ;)

A light edc for an afternoon in the woods, for some relaxed Orc hunting.

Just some blades and a emergency whistle, sort of.  :D

I may be the only one to think this, but the ByrdWrench shown above is a great idea for a tool, and it could be a big hit if someone did a better job of manufacturing it. if it could be made with better steel, lightened up a bit and with a few more tweaks, I'd add it to my EDC.

I've always wanted one of those, but everytime I go look at them I get disheartened by the prices on eBay. $425 for a wrench is just a bit much for me lol

Yeah its kinda a urban design.  I'd take a different tool if I was going out in the woods. I really like it for the days I feel like carrying just a tool. e

Ouch. I got way less into mine. I won't ever sell it though.
I've wanted one for years. I got lucky finding one I could afford.
