Bushcraft belt kit
« on: February 15, 2009, 11:07:57 AM »
Dudes and dudesses,

OK here is the start of a new project for me.  A Belt kit for wandering around the sticks.

On the belt so far is an axe, axe frog, DC4 sharpening stone in belt sheath, Custom wood scaled SAK, flint and a decent home made belt knife.

Now I need to find a "possibles bag" so I can fill it with tinder, matches, water filter straw, trail food, paracord and some shelter materials.

(I also carry a water bottle in a shoulder rig)

Improvements/comments are as ever always appreciated.

Simple possible bag is the jeans leg bag. Cut the leg off of a pair of jeans about 28 inches. Sew along bottom. Fold in half after putting a piece of the other leg as the strap. By putting the strap halfway down it allows the top to fold over making it a tube folded and it is waterproofed with wax.

Thanks Hawchucker, but I am trying to source some decent brown 3mm leather and will make my own....I like the rustic simple brown leather look.  Its very unassuming whilst on the trails
