Hey, Tim Leatherman
« on: March 04, 2009, 12:38:45 AM »
could you please (pretty please ...... with sugar on top) produce a Wave or Charge with the longer Phillips screw driver like on the Blast/Fuse/Kick and an awl like on the Core?

Please?   :pok: :D

There's a lot of people think that would be an improvement, but I don't see it myself. Doesn't the bit extender give you the benefits of the longer driver, but still give you the versatility of the bit exchanger?

Don't get me wrong, I love the phillips on the Core (I even made a film about it :D), but to shove it in the Wave would limit the Wave's usefulness wouldn't it?

For the most part the stubby, flat bits just seem worthless (to me anyhow). And I like the idea of not having to carry extra stuff with me for the simple majority of what I do. I guess it's just the minimalist in me. I mean, if I need more bits I just make the walk to my toolbox for everything I need. For me, a multi-tool is just for the basics, anything more and I go get what I need. I have a Swisstool, Spirit, and Blast and they get me through most of what I need. Just wish they had outside opening, one handed knife blades.

Horses for courses as they say!

There are some pics on here somewhere of a Blast driver transplanted into a wave I think, and of course Kwakster has done a few of these too. Do you feel brave enough? :D

Oh and if Mr. Leatherman is seeing this, rest assured I can do groveling and a fairly convincing bit of begging as well. :D

I agree with Dave (sorry Mike) I love the long Phillips on the Blast and Core as well but I also love the bit driver :D That's what makes this Wave the new Wave ;)

 Of course if you did have the dedicated Phillips you could get the adapter for it and still have that versatility ??? Now I have gone and overthought this and confused myself :ahhh

So I guess it wouldn't be to bad of an idea ::) :D
