Good to know.

The Clip Draw looks nice to me, not cheap, but it comes at least with extra strips. :D
I wish it was more low riding..

I agree. To get exactly what I want, I think I'm either going to have to grind down the HipClip, or tap a low ride clip to fit onto the ClipDraw base.

I got the ClipDraw today, but I think it's better suited to maybe my Rebar.

So I thinned out the HipClip on a belt sander, gave it a good hand wet/dry sanding to remove the NiteIze logo and the burrs, and used an adhesive strip from the ClipDraw to mount it. I'm quite happy. Nice deep pocket carry. It even makes the tool feel less slippery.

ABOUT THE CLIPDRAW...
The following is a public service announcement

This is my personal experience and yours may vary, but here goes.  The front screw hole on the clipdraw does not have enough metal surrounding it to bear repeated flexing without failing.  I used it maybe 15 times for actual carry.  Perhaps mine wasn't heat treated correctly.  Clipdraw said they would replace it but I never heard from them again.  I would definitely stick with the hipclip instead.

I agree, nice job on the clip :tu:  However, I don't think I could put a clip on those beautiful Spirits.  I love the smooth, mirror finish.  Although it would still have the other side to look at :)

Update on the HipClip:

Consider it more of a dangler than a real pocket clip. It doesn't clip very tightly to my jeans pocket, in comparison to any of my knives with pocket clips. The HipClip will keep that lump out of the bottom of your pocket, but definitely don't look to it as a means of securing the tool. I can pull down my pants to sit on the john, and the Spirit will slide right off onto the floor.  I'm sure the slippery nature of the Spirit doesn't help, but it's not all the Spirit's fault. The clip just isn't very tight.

How are you getting along with it mate?

I've had it since last August, and I'm impressed.  I have three main gripes with it.

One--the pliers are too blunt for my liking.  Most of the time I've ever used any of my MT pliers, it's been for finer work.  The Spirit doesn't do quite as well with that, but the Charge and Rebar do.  It's not a huge problem as I don't usually need the pliers frequently enough to matter, but I still prefer Leatherman pliers.  I could also carry my new Juice KF4 with it, but that may seem a bit much (I do like to carry 2 or 3 MTs/SAKs though :D).

Although the KF4 also has the diamond file, which leads to my second gripe:  the lack of the diamond file.  I don't have much to say about that other than I just like to have a diamond file on one side instead of both sides basically being the same thing :P

Third gripe--the Spirit is too dang beautiful and a great achievement in MT engineering that I almost don't want to use it ;).  I don't feel that I would ever want to put it to any real hard or dirty use (not that I put any of my MTs to any really hard or dirty work).  I'd rather just stare at it :dd:

Overall, I really do like the Spirit.  Having all the tools accessible without opening it up is a big advantage, and it's not too heavy and bulky for pocket carry imo.

I can't believe I'm only joining now.. Well, applying, that is, I already had my Spirit for a month or so :) And it's become the tool I EDC the most :) It just has basically everything I need, plus some extra's! I do sometimes wish I'd have gotten the butterblade version, instead of the spearpoint blade, as I mostly carry a separate SAK or another dedicated blade, so a less-standard blade would maybe be more useful.
Ah well, can't be long before I have that, too, I guess

I didn't like the scissors so I had one option really. Are the scissors any good? Not poking any fun here, maybe you should give a swap a thought. I've noticed you EDC a Vic Compact which could result in a perfect set with all its goodies the Spirit is missing. Too much blade redundancy I know but as I said I didn't like those scissors :ahhh and I believe this would be a great combo :)

They're not bad, but they just don't open far in comparison to SAK scissors for example.  I would rather have both blades, but I don't "need" both as I also edc other MTs/SAKs.  I would consider a swap, but I have my doubts that anyone would get rid of theirs considering it's no longer in production.

This is a webpage from what I believe is the european Vic site. It shows a Spirit S version with older logo. Mine has the newer logo and no cross on plier head, so supposedly is of newer stock. Great, now you got me worried. I work near their head shop here so I think I'll stop by after work for some info. :ahhh  :o  :ahhh  :o  :ahhh Thanks for the heads up

It's no longer available in the US as far as I know (anyone correct me if I'm wrong).  Perhaps it's still in production in Europe?  I know there are MTs/SAKs available in Europe that aren't over here.  So you may be all set ;)

I went by their main distributor's shop this afternoon. They were a bit surprised as it still is in this year's catalogue but couldn't tell me more. I think I'll e-mail Vic for further information. Again, thanks for the heads up!  :ahhh   :salute:
