I've got a few axes, mauls, hatchets etc ... and I've got to echo previous posters. The only ones which would actually cut anything were the two Granny B's. I rely on all these tools quite a lot for firewood processing when spending time at the boat, and I would be quite happy to lend any of them to the mates at the boatyard except the Granny B's.

I don't know if I'm more scared of the damage they could to to the tools, or the damage the tools could do to them.

I also am not a fan of lending out my GB or Wetterlings axes. These things can be detrimental to someone who does not thoroughly know what they are doing with an axe. They are incredibly sharp and will cause great injury if misused. Some folks do not appreciate quality tools and will abuse fine axes and hatchets due to their ignorance.
