He looks precious

Weird how they seem to like what, to me, looks flipping uncomfortable.

Agree.  Despite his cot, Fisher sometimes likes to lay on the concrete.  Confuses me, but they like what they like.

Here are a couple of my favorite fire starters all together.

Nice Zippo

Day 25

Smart move Nate, the test confirms that the striker is completely destroyed when wet. I would have thought it would be more durable like wet/dry sandpaper.    [ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ]    [ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ]
That is why I don’t like matches that require a strike pad, you have to keep it dry.

Imco keeps a new Hanklight D4K triple channel company.(that's a mouth full).

Really liking many of the Hanklight offerings--you could practically choose any popular led installed in the light with different functions/configuration.  This particular one has dual white/Red/UV led all installed on the same chassis.

Thanks to the Anduril flashlight software, it does make it rather easy to operate, despite a complex configuration.
Of course you are going to talk flashlights, one of my weaknesses.

I have something similar called Spark-Lite, it is handy.

Day 26

(Image removed from quote.)

I tried starting fire with this 8 W2 leds Hanklight (approximately 7000-8000 lumens?), but wasn't successful.  I have seen it done on YT in the past, and my wild guess is the relative humidity is usually really high where I live and it's been raining for the past few days, so it's even harder to make it lit.

I've never tried with a flashlight, but I suspect it has a lot to do with the focal point of the lense. I doubt any of my lights are strong enough to do it. None of my lights break 2000 lumens, most are even below 1000 lumens, But now I'm now wondering if multiple of them combined might work....hmm

Congrats on getting a SAK that is very hard to find.
That will look good once you get the parts sorted.  :tu:  It's always fun to bring a knife back to life.

I carry this most days.  Got used to using it after participating in the Leap challenge.

Congratulations !    My all-time favorite SAK.    If this were mine I'd either fix it up myself or send it to a pro modder for refurbishment.
