   Anyone who has taken the risk of terminal boredom to read anything I ever wrote here knows I am a minimalist.  Sort of.  I rarely carry a pen of any sort and will likely never buy a tactical pen.  Best wishes.  G

Rediscovered.two knives I acquired a couple years ago, if that long.

Both are from searching for EQUAL END knives, both were new, a Rough Rider and a Marbles, and both named as Cattleman knife.

The Marbles, is the one on top, 3 blades, equal length blades.  Each insanely sharp, cut paper with less than a whisper of sound. Blades are 440A. Covers are bone, and back side sport 3 backsprings. 1 for each blade.

I have carried and used this knife for the past 5 days and it is easy to carry, blades deploy without breaking a finger nail and with half stops it is well designed.  Cannot believe I ignored this model for so much time, mainly because it is a MARBLES make 
Can not find this listed any longer, but believe I did not pay much more that $12 to $14 when I ordered.

The Rough Rider, is much larger at 4-1/4” long closed. The 2 blades share the same pivot end.  The  be pull of each blade is about a 6.5 and nail nicks are easy to access.  Blades are sharp. Came sharp as well,  and with Zblavk MICARTA Covers a very handsome slip joint. Yet, I would not categorize this a Cattleman.
A search found this yet available, well under $20 US.
So reasonable I just submitted an order for a matching Copperhead that is less than 4” closed.

For modern , old style slip joints, both will see EDC rotation.

Eventually I will stumble onto some older vintage Slipjoints that David and Steve share, as their post are so dang educational👍.

Here's one of my more favourite four-layers (but not as favourite as my Climber Deluxe!). Not entirely sure why they didn't make more of these (Climber Lites), maybe as a production model, you know? I feel like it's probably that flashlight technology develops so quickly that they're soon rendered obsolete and thus are seen more as replaceable items than most other SAKs. The lights, however, IMO, have reached the point where I think they're powerful enough that I can keep them indefinitely at this point and not want to trade up to a more powerful one.

Thanks. I wanted plus scales for both knives, so I decided to order some interesting colors. Once the new scales were on, I was over moon with how both knives turned out.

I actually do reasonably well on this list.  I fall down on my foreign language skills I must admit. Oh, and I doubt my penmanship is up to 1930s snuff.  I can ride a horse but I'm much more likely to be found on a bicycle, despite that list's prediction.
