Nice find! Did Norway have hallmarking for silver allowing you to identify the maker? The UK used to have extensive hallmarking for precious metals, but the rules were relaxed to more generic content marks (either parts per thousand eg 925 for Sterling silver, or carats) in more recent years and only expensive jewellers/makers seem to use full sets of hallmarks allowing you to date, value, place and identify the maker these days - we also lost some city hallmarking centres too with time…..

Today finished my second custom saw and added it to my HalfBar, now toolset is Custom heavy duty saw, file, phillips, modded serrated blade (sharpened serrations away), Wingman medium flathead/ruler/file.

Planning to make heavy duty saw for Wave to replace orginal woodsaw.

My father has the old version of that hatchet with the stacked leather handle.  I hope to inherit it someday, long in the future.  My father and I have both been given stitches by that hatchet, which makes it a heck of an heirloom!   :ahhh

I'm really excited to play with this one.
