Good looking range of uses there guys. I'm liking the smashed avocado Brock (never tried that) and Rooibos is a good tea to accompany it.

Bill it is a good combo, you should try it!

I grew up as a kid with avo on toast and sweet rooibos tea in South Africa, but only after I came to Aus did I realise that "smashed avo" is A Big Thing on this island... You can order it from practically any hip cafe for a pricely sum. It will always be a nostalgic favourite for me.

Useless fact of the day: Rooibos tea is indigenous to the arid west coast of South Africa.

Thanks Steve,  :salute:
I am also keeping an eye out for any books on pocket knives in charity shops as secondhand knife books seem to cost a tidy sum too from book dealers. I’m guessing because they probably had small print runs.

I just got this old Otter Messer. Really neat knife. Has a back-spring like a bear trap.   [ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ]

Got to love a knife that wants to eat your fingers.  :D I have a Wrights sheepfoot like that.

That classy poniard of yours has invaded my brain.  Now I want one too!

Apologies for the Buck 110 detour, but since a few people showed interest I will post a few comparison pictures...

The 110 is in the same size-class as the PM2, Sebenza, SAK RangerGrip 130mm.

From left to right:
SAK Sportsman
Boker Barlow
GEC #44 Gunstock Jack
Spyderco PM2
Spyderco GB2
CRK Large Sebenza
Buck 110
SAK RangerGrip 79
Spyderco Military

It is much thicker than the modern folders, with generously contoured edges. It's impressively ergonomic without a pocket clip, and fills the hand nicely.

But... it's a boat anchor in comparison to the modern lightwieghts, at almost twice as much as a standard G10 PM2 (207g vs 105g)! The extra weight comes with the territory. It you can't handle the heat get out of the kitchen... That brass frame surely feels solid though.

The 110 is a no-nonsense workhorse. It dwarfs the little Boker Barlow I showed before. Copper, brass and wood-heavy picture...

Leatherman Tools / Re: Naked Juice Pro

Actually, yes. I am planning on two more of the skeletonized juices: One with pliers and internal drivers only and one with four long tools—plain edge, scissors, saw, and file. I just need one more donor. May be a while before I get around to doing the mod, but I will post pics.

Those both sound like sweet juices. I'd like to make a s2 with saw scissors and awl. I like the just internal tools idea too, I need more juices!
