Gerber Fit

I know we saw this one somewhere else not too long ago, but I was actually quite pleased with this one. It's certainly a different form factor, but I'm sure it'll appeal to the folks that bought the Kelvin 23 multitool, and I'm sure this one is a lot more realistic to use!

The Fit was actually pretty neat with a full sized, double ended bit in the end of the driver, two very long shanked mini drivers that pop out at the flip of a switch and a set of tweezers tucked inside Swiss Army Style.

The flashlight is nice too- it's surprisingly bright! I think the designer said it was 35 lumens, it's a Nichia LED, and it's powered by a single AAA battery so that a dead battery can be replaced easily.

It's not a bad tool, and while they had two colors there (orange and blue) it would appear that I only took pics of one!

I'm really liking it. I'm a big fan of AAA driven Nichia LEDs and orange is my favorite color. But CE! What's with these companies and CE? Def, know the price?

How "tall" is the Fit? That's been my main concern with this one...that it'd be uncomfortable in the hand.

Interesting that it's a Nichia. How's the light's tint? The only AAA Nichia I'm familiar with is the Fenix E01, and it usually puts out some pretty purple light.

Standard 1/4" bits and driver on this one. I would say standing on a table it's 1.5-2" tall. It really reminded me of a model train or hotdog and bun kind of size if that helps any.

The light seemed pretty white, but the lighting is horrible in the shows for determining things like that, so it's hard to say for sure. The light also points at the screwdriver/knife/scissors end so you can see what you are doing.

Holy carp! I could literally glue my AA-powered EOS A2 to the back of a SAK and it'd be 1.5". 2"? Yikes...

It's a bit big, but not overly huge. I found it quite manageable- no bigger than my Black & Decker cordless screwdriver.

I like the look of this one but sounds like it might be a bit bigger than I was hoping.

Yeah... well, I kinda have small hands. Might as well get a Fenix E05 and glue it to an S2.

but the design does look promising

but the bit driver shaft looks like it might be a bit to flexible

CE blades do bother me and it seems everyone is using them on there cheaper line tools these days $:-\$ I would rather have a good PE or SE blade anyday of the week

Mainly PE

I'm curious to know if you think it's large for what you get or is the size reasonable?

I would say it is okay. The tool isn't slim but for having a triple a battery it is fine. A little large for loose pocket carry but if it had a pocket clip it would be perfect. It is smaller than any other tool I have seen with a battery in it, like deal extreme multitool lights.

My Fit just arrived, and it's exactly how I remember it from the show. I'll post some pics tomorrow, but for now I'm going to try doing a few things around the house with it so I have something to report.
