Here, he is limited to 2 hours per day of screen time. This is what the research suggests is a good maximum for kids. He used to have 4 hours on weekend days and holidays, but we cut him down, much to his dismay. He'd play video games and watch TV all day if we let him.He mixes his time between reading and Lego building now. Occasionally some physical exercise, if we push him. During the school year, he's not allowed to watch TV or play video games until all his homework is done, so some nights, it is zero. This year, he'll be in gifted math, and we're signing him up for Chess Club, soccer, and maybe Boy Scouts. (we'll see how it goes with the other two activities)
