Thanks for the link! That is the tool I would design for technical climbing. No need for a bottle opener or woodsaw (with a serrated knife). File is hugely helpful, as is the bit driver. Basically a stripped down LM Wave.My SAK mod is coming along nicely. Just waiting for brass pinstock. It will be 91 mm based, with file, small blade and bit driver--Bare essentials for a day of multipitch climbing. Next up will be a bigger version for a pack--If it's lighter than a LM Wave. The Mike Horn Ranger would be a direct competitor for the Wave as a multiday trekking/mountaineering tool.

Izzat a standard 1/4 bit driver or some special size? Inquiring minds...
Ok, this is just me, but what I would have done, is kept the standard bottle/can opener layer, then put the long flat head, ala Swissgrip, with the file. Then, on the back, I would have put the phillips driver along with that awlsome awl. I just don't know if I feel comfortable with a survival knife that doesn't have integral drivers.

Mike Horn probably didn't want bottle opener in it, which is understandable since it is kinda useless out in wild, and it has holder for screwdriver bits anyway.
