I noticed in one of the latest issues of Consumer Reports, The Cannons are rating very high. I was a Fuji man before. I recently picked up a Cannon A 2000. Like $180.00 at wally world. My wife takes a crap load of pics.

Haven't looked at the A2000 yet......might have to check that one out as well. There is just so many different digi-cams out there it's hard to choose.

My EagleTac P100C2 came in today. What a excellent light!

This is my first EagleTac torch, and it won't be my last. And it's also my first light with CREE's XP-E emitter. I was surprised by how small the emitter is, and yet it's output is equal to that of my comparable XR-E equipped lights. Fit and finish is excellent, and activation of the secondary mode via turning the head is much smoother and easier than other lights I own that have the same feature.......I can do it easily with just one hand on this EagleTac.

I ain't going too long here about it as I intend to put up a full review of this light as soon as I can get my camera problems rectified, but suffice it to say I am impressed with this light and will be getting more from EagleTac.  :tu:

Yeah, it's a real nice light considering it's inexpensive cost......superb actually. With the addition of the tailstand capable tailcap it's all the more better, at least to my liking.

Before I bought one I was contemplating between this one and the T100C2, figured I'd go the less expensive route and try one out first. I am on PTS's website right now looking at the T100C2 and wondering if I should get it now or wait (I'm eyeing several auctions on Ebay currently so I might hold off for a bit, at least until next payday).

But a T100C2 is definitely in my future.

It's a good place to start.  Be warned though, you are standing at the top of a very slippery slope be careful where your next step takes you.  ;)

I started with an LED maglite.

Now I have over 30 flashlights.

Slippery slope is an understatement :D

Yup, a very slippery slope. I had used incan Maglites for years.....wanted to try a nice LED and got one of the earlier Huntlights with a Lux III a few years back. I am over 60 lights in the collection now! And  no sign of stopping any time soon.  :o

I'll be the voice of reason here... for a change :D

Whilst I probably have more lights than your average Joe I still only buy ones to use and have no desire to collect them, so you might be safe ;)

What is this 'reason' you speak of? :D

Thats an impressive total 2xTap.  Any chance of some pics of flashlight goodness? :)

Fortunately I'm in the same position as Neil.  I really only buy torches if I have a specific reason* to do so.  most of my lights are upgraded Maglites.

*I can be quite inventive when it comes to reasons though.  ;)

I did take some group shots about a month ago for a thread on another forum, I don't have those pics on this computer right now or on Imageshack, but you can see them here......http://www.knifeforums.com/forums/showtopic.php?tid/855076/tp/1/

There is about 10 lights missing from these pics though. So far my stable of lights includes Surefire, Wolf-Eyes, Nitecore, PEU, Maglite, ElektroLumens, Solarforce, Ultrafire, Trustfire, Pelican, PentagonLight, Blackhawk, Deerelight, Huntlight, Dorcy, Rayovac, Fenix, Nuwai, Eagletac, and a few others. And fundage permitting.....soon to be expanding!  :o

Dunno. I like lights, love to EDC a good light. I really want to get a new EDC, but to be honest when it comes to spending money knives and tools come first - so there´s nothing left for lights. That´s why I just have 2 great lights (Lumapower M1 Cree and D-Mini Digital Q5), a decent one (Fenix P1, first version) and 2 ok ones (Ultrafire C3 and a small no-name CR123a light).

Does anyone know about Lumapower quality now? When I got my lights they were well recommended, but I heard of some troubles in QC later. How are they now, they have nice EDC lights? Maybe I should go for Fenix or Nitecore instead, but I really like my Lumapowers.

EDIT: I forgot to mention my Fenix E01. It´s on my keychain and I have it with me all the time. Nice, but could be brighter.

After reading about it on here, I've recently got a 2C Tesco LED. Seems really good for the price :)

I'm still after a nice little single AAAA (note the 4xA) light.  Have I missed anything since the silly price aunoc (or however you spell it)?  Alternatively who wants to buy me a lathe ;)

Got my first Fenix lights yesterday, LD10 and PD20.  I'm very impressed, especially with the PD20.  This thing is so small, but it's so bright.  I think it will be an ideal EDC light as it's small and light, and the different modes serve just about any need.

It has its flaws, but its a great light all told.  Kicks out loads of light.  Its a really good size for its output as well, and I like the UI.

My least favourite part of it is that fact is says "special operations" on the light itself :).
