Now that I own the best made multi what do I get next?
I already have several Leathermans and three SOGS. Whats next? Maybe the fullsize swiss tool? Please sell me on owning the Swisstool. Or have I reached nirvana in multi tools?

The SwissTool....Just imagine the Spirit but bigger. Two of the best multitools made. If you like the spirit you should check it out.

Can't go wrong with a SwissTool. Spice things up a bit and buy the black one. It looks real sexy, almost like a black chrome finish.

Okay you got me going on the black one. YAY! ;D I have heard of the black LM's but I did not know there was a black Swiss tool. Does the finish rub off easily or is this shelve queen?

I haven't had any problems with the black finish wearing off on mine, but then I rarely carry it. My old chrome ST looks at me with such sad, doleful eyes when I pass it over that I just can't help but put the black one back and pick it up instead!
But it is sweeeeeeet. Try to get a SwissTool X in either color- the addition of scissors is quite nice.

Okay, ya got me there. I retract my advice to buy the black one. It looks great when you first get it, but rough (i.e. normal) handling will rub the black finish off. Even little scratches, the kind that would not be noticable on a stainless finish, look huge and ugly through the black.

I guess what I'm trying to say is:
When I carry my black SwissTool, I find myself "being careful" with it. Trying not to scrape up the finish.
A person should not have to "be careful" with a good multi tool.

Okay thanks J-Sews. I really want one I can use and won't rub off.

I have had several black Gerbers and Swiss Tools and I found the finish to be great. While I would not toss them around on metal or such, I think if you keep them in sheaths when not in use they will keep the finish fine.
