Favourite Colour Cellidor Scales

What's your favourite colour cellidor scales?

I'm going with red. That's partly because I believe, correctly or not, that some people who are concerned at the sight of most pocket knives are much less concerned when the a SAK, probably because they see SAKs a tools rather than weapons (although any knife I carry is a tool not a weapon, but that's a another subject), and red scales make it more recognizable as a SAK. If it was purely down to looks red would be second to blue.

Lovely though they are, I'm not including alox knives because they're different models to the cellidor ones for the most part.

That's a good point, as I keep the red scales on my work Swisschamp for exactly that reason

But one a purely aesthetic level, probably Onxy, followed by Jelly Blue

Red for me as I just associate red with SAK's.

I do like white as well though.

SAKs are expected to be red of course.

Black looks great when clean and shiny. Favourite is the Nylon Onyx as seen on the Voyager. Cool like the jellys but do not show scratches and fingerprints as easily.

Tough call this one, red is the colour everyone thinks of, black has a very cool look, white is classy but my gut reaction was blue. it's still a friendly looking colour but manages to stand out from the red. I also feel it keeps its looks better than the black does, I can see every single little scuff and scratch on my black scales, which just makes me sad. In addition I just can't be bothered to polish my SAK every night. I would however love to get my hands on some green scales, they might be good enough to change my mind.

I do wish you could get the larger scales in all the colours the 58mm range comes in. There's a nice sage green I quite fancy.

I assume by "jelly blue" that you meant translucent sapphire; which I have to say are my personal favorite, even though I have yet to own any :/

Red is the color for me. I will always prefer red scales over the others (if not ruby then).
I do like the new silvertech scales they look awsome.

Incidentally, what is the real point of the camo scales? They look groovy but a dropped knife dissapears into the undergrowth never to be found...

Red is my fave , it's what I grew up on ! Staglow appeals too , specially on outdoor camping stuff . Red deffinatly is the most sheeple friendly color .

For over 20 years of owning SAKs I've never bought anything but red ones.

Then I got a OH-GAK, and I've really been digging its color which seems somehow more fitting for a larger knife - less obtrusive than if it was the traditional bright red.

GAK scales are sort of an olive green or khaki green? I'm not sure what color they are officially.

Maybe that shouldn't count because I'm not sure that the GAK scales are cellidor. Anybody know what material they are?

I picked Blue, even though I don't have a blue SAK yet.

I might get a Cobalt Blue Classic this weekend. I have to go to the SAK counter to get some batteries, may as well get a SAK as well
