There's nothing like a VW!

When I was younger I worked as a private investigator, and on one job I had rented a VW Golf.  It was the basic model with (I think) a 1.7 or 1.9L engine and automatic transmission, but I ended up on the highway doing 185 km/hr (about 115mph) at one point with it.  It was screaming, but it also had more in it, and I'm certain I could have hit 200 km/hr if I needed it to.  Fortunately for both of us I was already quite terrified and didn't feel the need to push it!

That was my into to VW, and I was hooked.  A few weeks later I bought a 91 Fox with a four speed manual.

Then in 2010 I bought a Golf with the 2.5L online five cylinder and that thing was a rocket as well!

Nowadays I am more of a truck/Jeep guy as I like to take things a little slower, I like the higher seating position etc, but if I bought another car I can pretty well guarantee it would be European of some sort, if not another VW.
