I carry a Vic Soldier with my Crunch and it takes care of the saw requirement and it turns out to be a good combo!  :tu:
I knew my wife was a keeper when she transitioned from calling it a knife thingy to a multi-tool.

That's what I'm thinking.  I'll throw a 10 in 1 and a pair of 6" channelocks in my cargo pocket and I should be unstoppable.

Correct. Tim took the Mr. Crunch around to the different companies like Spaulding etc., and they passed on his idea. Good thing they did right?! Then be modified it into the PST.

He did name the Crunch after Mr. Crunch though to keep the memory of it alive if memory serves me correctly

Yeah, that's what I was getting at, in a round about way I guess haha

It's cool seeing it, also next to that Mr. Crunch on the left is one of the prototype PSTs.

Congratulations Roman.

The Crunch was my very first Leatherman - a gift from SWMBO. That's probably the single biggest reason I started collecting multitools.

I'd been hinting that I wanted a Leatherman, but was thinking of a PST type thing as in my mind at the time, that's what a Leatherman looked like. If she had bought me a PST, or a Wave or something like that I would probably have been quite content!

As it happens she got me a Crunch and I said "this is really cool, but I was after something much simpler", went online and that was that lol.

So whenever she's done the eye-rolling, tutting thing about buying new tools since, I just reminded her it was her fault
I used to come here a lot.

The bite on the Crunch is one of the best even considering dedicated locking pliers IMO

I had a very Crunchy weekend at my friend's house in Pittsburgh. They don't have a lot of tools so the Crunch came in very handy.

First, one of the support struts on their deck umbrella was failing but clamping the Crunch in place kept it from sagging while we ate dinner.

And later it was used to remove some very rusted lag bolts on an old set of stairs I was tasked with demolishing.

Shouldn't you be able to use tgat to open the pliers though? Also anyone have any thoughts on a pocket clip for it?
