I finally got one.  It is smaller than I was expecting but seems capable enough.
Got it new in box with a nylon pouch I'll never use.  It's dated 0713

Nice Steve and Alan  :tu: :like: :like: The Crunch is surprisingly compact for what it is and even though I haven't carried it much over the years it has always been very capable :like:

Definitely !   While they aren't the quickest pliers to deploy, they are probably the strongest pliers around for their package size.  And when you need locking pliers then nothing else will do.

For the size they can still clamp on to a 1 inch pipe
Which I think is pretty impressive

Get it Fuzzy!  I had been eyeing the Crunch for several years and decided that last week was the time to get one.  I was actively bidding on 3 of them on evil bay last Saturday, all pre-owned but in as new condition.  I figured I might at least get 1 of them.  They all exceeded my limit though when they got close to $70 USD and that didn't even include the shipping.  So, I did a google search for Leatherman Crunch and about the 4th page in I found a sporting goods shop that had it listed for $66.95 and to top it off they were offering free shipping!  I didn't hesitate on hitting the buy it now button!  I got the last one!  It's still listed on their website but now it says Back Ordered.  So, I managed to get a brand new tool for less than the used ones went for on E-bay.  I just hope it wasn't anyone here I was bidding against.

For the new Crunch owners you need to learn how to one hand open them. Once you get the hang of it its really easy.  Remember practice, pratice, pratice.    :D   Your thumb may get sore but it is worth it.    :D
