Best Offer around $70 US to include US lower-48 insured shipping. Will ship worldwide but leary ... don't want it confiscated! Not sure which countries this is even legal nowadays...
1992 Vintage CS "Cutlery Shop" Commemorative Edition Gerber Mark II. 440C blade about 7" long, knife is 12" long overall. Stainless steel particle impregnated aluminum handle. Double edged with partial coarse serrations.
Knife in fair to good condition, but I am VERY picky. Photos below were all highlighted with a spot flourescent to exaggerate the scratches. They are almost imperceptable unless blade is held in good light at exact certain angles. Most would polish out completely with some effort. Hilt has some small marks from pommeling on bottom, but a black sharpie would cover them nicely. Two or Three of the serrations are mildly chipped at the root.
No black cordura sheath, no documentation, no paperwork. No mahogany presentation box or personal signiture from Peter Gerber or whomever. No laser engraving on blade. This is *NOT* one of the "Limited Edition" box sets, and it never was. It's a CS 08xx in the 1992 production year, which ironically only 330 were ever made ... about 5 times less than the "Limited" 1500 box sets. This is, however, a legit Gerber MK II, but was never issued to the military or carried.
Got this from somebody who owed me money. I'm not a fixed-blade guy and currently unemployed. Interesting trades considered, but reasonable offers (prefer Paypal) get shipped the next day.
Thought about eBay but I'd rather deal with you folks if I can find somebody that really wants it.
Questions answered and other pictures taken if interested. Otherwise it's just gonna be a really wicked letter opener for a while.
