My wife is much more interesting, but for me, my paternal great grandfather was a deserter, horse thief and illegal alien (deserted the Czar's army, stole a horse, rode to Finland and hopped a freighter with my great grandmother and grandmother to Canada, from where they snuck across the border into Buffalo, NY).

Funnily I ended up in a Doctors surgery , bent over & all   and in the waiting room was a guy with a massive fish hook through his thumb.
Some local anesthetic & a "here we go son....." .
So between the 2 of us we made for a interesting day at the office for that GP.
Endless teasing for me at family dinners though (I am one of 5 )
