The SURGE is H-E-A-V-Y!!!!!

You know the metal spacers that stop the pliers from getting stuck (sometimes) on the tools? Well, from my regular flipping of the pliers to deploy them, the weight of it has -literally- smashed the spacers back. Now EVERY time I close it, the dreaded SNAP is heard...should I send it in to get fixed, or can I do it myself?

Personally,my advice and I'm not trying to be snide,but if you feel the need to ask,you're better off to send it in for repairs.
