The PST II that wasn't.

I'm not trying to generate traffic for this Ebay seller or his auction but check out this auction.

The title states the following "EARLY VINTAGE LEATHERMAN PST II IN LEATHER CASE RARE".  Unless I'm mistaken this is a PST from the late 80's.  Is he right about the rare part on this one though?  According to the seller it's in great shape.

DaveK you may want this one for your collection.

Jeff,

Interesting tool.  I wonder how the pst 2 differ's from the 1?  I thought the 2 had the scissors but they may have come later on.  I will have to do some research.

Scissors, combo blade, and diamond file are the main differences in the PST II

Yup the PST II added scissors and a diamond file with a fishhook groove.  I'm sure the guy is mistaken about this being a PST II but I'm wondering if the Multi is worth looking into.

Yes, That is a regular PST.       I don't know if PST IIs were available in BO.   Have never seen one.  Bob probably has one :)

Nope, I've never seen a PST II in black oxide. Not to say they aren't out there somewhere though :-\

But that black PST without cap crimpers is somewhat uncommon too. If  recall DaveK was looking for one of those.
