Bought A Minichamp
on: April 22, 2009, 11:50:01 PM
I have been lusting for a Minichamp for a while now. Over the weekend i bought one from ebay for 12.00. It came today it was real dirty. I gave it a good cleaning with some tooth picks, pipe cleaners, and a little rubbing alcohol. Then i polished the scales and all the blades with Brasso. What i found under all the dirt was a like new knife. The scales showed some were all the tools were sharp and in good shape except the main blade it was dull and had never been sharpened. I just gave a light hone with my speedy sharp that straightened edge out like new. I am pretty happy with my new toy.

I quite fancy one of those - the rambler is great EDC though as I don't think the extra tools on it would be that useful to me. I wish they would make a few different 58mm knives with other tools in.

Yours was certainly a bargain  :tu:

You got the earlier Mini Champ, which I like much better! It has almost all the same tools as the MiniChamp II and it's significantly thinner!

I have been accesserrising i rigged some boxes for my little SAKs and made bullet fob for my Minichamp. I seem to be feeding a small knife addiction.

Thanks i reload my own ammo so it was easy to make. It also works real good the bullet stays put when hanging out of my pocket. I should of used a big old 303 case it would have been bigger than the knife.

Excellent choice. For years my keychain knife was an original Minichamp. I owned two and purchased them both at full price at Target and never felt I had wasted a penny. I'm on board with others here, I now have a Rambler and I think it accomplishes the same tools with a smaller package, but it's still a 10 out of 10 on my list. Again, excellent taste sir  :salute:

A 303 on a SAK?  No way, it's gotta be a 7.5x55 Swiss!

But definitely a lot bigger knife  :D

I bought an original minichamp on eBay last month for $2.00 + shipping (TSA forfeiture).

I'm currently on the prowl for another as my wife wants one now.
Not sure if I'll get her a minichamp II or an original....all she really cares about is the orange peeler and that it has tweezers.

I just won another original Minichamp in an auction for $4.00 plus shipping.

I also won a Rover for $2.00 plus shipping from the same seller.
