I didn't mind that actually. I suppose another thing bugged me about this show is that the whole thing happened basically because of some guy is acting like a 5 year old and trying to show others that he's better.

I loved that show.You really had to be on your toes to catch some of the references.

Take the cheesiest movies you can find,create some  'bots and feed them the funniest, most off the wall lines with some sharp,yet obscure references,and you'll laugh yourself silly.

BG was not canceled. Scifi was begging the creators to do at least one more season, and they didn't even care that it was a loss leader. It brought legitimacy and quality to a network that does a lot of snakes on a plane kind of junk.

Ron Moore decided that four years was enough, and stretching it out more would just shoestring the quality of the episodes. Personally I think they could have easily added ten more episodes, but I do understand the decision to wrap it up.

We'll see how the new BG oriented ventures pan out. The new series will probably be more different than similar to BG, only the basic cultural language will be the same.
