Tip: Buy the storage cabinet first - this will encourage you to fill it up faster :D

It may cause divorce however, actual results may vary....

I bought that mat many years ago from Smoky Mountain Knife Works. I'm not sure how common they are.

I'm not sure there is any point in storing your tools in the bedroom if you're suddenly not sleeping there anymore.   :D

I'm loving the Snap on lookee likee chests, really nice set up for them.

As my collection/budget is (currently) far more modest I just use some cheap wooden drawers from (dare I say it?!) Ikea. They are the ones that take about an A4 size for filing and come in 3 layers. They serve as my bedside EDC receptacle  :D

Found the link

£7.99 not bad really and they can be painted/varnished up nicely.

Well I'm off to Ikea this morning to get one of these.  I told my wife I was thinking about it and she said that I should more than think about it, I suspect that it's mostly to get rid of the plastic unit from our living room.

A trip to Ikea also means a visit to the ball pit for my daughter and a cooked breakfast for me.  :D

That's a very neat drawer unit mate.

I got my Ikea box this morning, I think my cabinet making skills might just about be up to the task.  ;)  I will say that I don't at all mind Ikea under certain conditions:

a)  you know what you want to buy and have a good idea where it is.

b)  it's a weekday morning and not insanely crowded.

c)  there is room in the playroom for my wee girl.

d)  I'M NOT WITH MY WIFE!  :ahhh

It can't possible take more than 10 minutes without the wife, but we have quite a long way to the nearest IKEA, so it always end up being 3-4 hours.. But then we have also seen EVERYTHING... :bnghd: And the car is full of all these things she can't live without...  :ahhh

Sounds nightmarish :ahhh :ahhh

Maybe you should tell her that you will need to buy some tools on the way home that so that you can put the things together.

I am in love with the Gerstner and Sons ripoff Harbor Freight wooden Machinist Chest.

I have already checked with Bob (a few days ago) but they are too heavy to send to the UK.

Don't suppose anyone has a link for a UK distributer  :pok: :pok: :pok:
