Saw a Flair at a shop. What's it worth?

Was browsing at a hardware shop here yesterday, and saw an old Flair in a display cabinet. Clamshell packaging, plastic all scruffy. Wonder how long they've had it in there. I can't imagine anyone wanting to buy it here, especially since it's displayed with all the other new models. What do you guys reckon it's worth?

Like ALP said I reckon around $45-55us. I think they are a good buy as they were not very popular & score highly in the oddball scale. I would think they would be one LM that will only increase in value over time.

Still in the package? Hmmm 50ish bucks. It's a safe bet you would at least get your money back out of it down the road. Buy it and forget about it for 10-20 years...then when Flairs are super hard to get bust it out on here. We should have close to a billion members by then on here all drooling over it.

The Flair in excellent shape was the hardest LM for me to find (so far). I paid $65 and it was BNIB.
$45 is a good price for a used one, IMO.

ah, ok. It had a sticker on it and converted to USD, it's about $70. I guess that's pretty cheap by standards here. The sticker price on a Skeletool CX in the same shop, when on discount, is about US$140.
Maybe I'll go see if I can talk to the manager, convince him that it isn't worth taking up his display cabinet space, and offer to help him free up that spot for a discount

Economics of locality are important. Whilst the US crew might consider $45 USD to be a good deal, over here it would be a bargain! Just depends where you are really.

I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

I would buy a Flair for $70, NIB from a shop without hesitation.
You have a look and try and find one for $45! I bet you can't. Even if you do get lucky, shipping and potential customs charges will get you to $70 anyway.
If you want a Flair, buy it!
I used to come here a lot.

I got my one from Australian ebay & it was NIB , VERY rare to find in OZ , I think I paid $60-70aus back when the aussie $ was almost worth the same as the US$
.
Having said that I have seen most second hand ones go for $40-$50 us , that is on us ebay though.
