Bear Jaws--a small amateur review
on: April 24, 2009, 09:28:52 PM
Bear Jaws

This thing is built like a Russian tank. I picked mine up at a swap meet before i really got into multitools. By just holding it you can tell it is a quality tool. It is tight, too. No clanking, rattling, or jangaling. You could build a space shuttle with the drivers and hack thru the amazon with the blade.

I like the fact you can take it apart with regular ole torx bits to clean. The sides are rounded to prevent tearing your hands up while using it. The pliers could pull a splinter out of your hand because they line up perfectly.

The lock levers kind of threw me a bit but they work well and are never in the way when using the tool. They could catch on your clothes though if you pocket carry it. I recommend getting one as it is still a very functional tool and you won't be disappointed in its fit or finish.

Yep a T55 with reactive armor upgrade. Yours looks like it has seen service with a 3rd world country or two  :D:cheers:

Great review Pacu, and I couldn't agree more. My Bear Jaws is different to yours, as it doesn't have the locks, but my 155 EL does and I think you've summed them up really well :tu:
I used to come here a lot.

no...TBH, I've never seen one...if you ask why I like them so much, there's just something about a 100% made in the USA multitool that really sticks to me....

So you are promoting a tool company and singing the praises of tools that you have no idea about then.  Not the best of ideas really.

So let me see if I've got this straight, your petitioning for a sub forum dedicated to a tool you've never handled, let alone seen in the flesh

I was originally trying to simply get a section on the main site for them...I think there's enough reviews...
