The stamp on the back is a military stamp.  It's likely an overstock blade from one of the military models that found it's way into the civilian pile.  It's actually quite common in the civilian versions of military models- for example, many Pioneers and Farmers have been found with year stamps on the tang, even though they are not issue knives.

It has nothing to do with military. The stamp "DE-GM 9305297" is just a kind of patent-number. Some of the linerlock-knives have it, some don`t.
The stamp "DE-GM" means "Deutsches Gebrauchsmuster" (german use-model). That is something like a patent, sometimes called the little brother of the patent.
You find the stamp on a certain percentage of all military and civil linerlock-knives.

... little brother of the patent.
...

I like that description :)   I'd heard it was more akin to a design registration than a patent and was never quite sure how to phrase it as I don't think we have an equivalent

No, there is no information about the date in this number. It`s always the same number because it`s just the registration-number for this model.
I have several 111mm knives with linerlocks and about half of them have the number.
