This morning, getting dressed, I felt something hit me in the ankle. Look down, and there is my Rebar in it's sheath on the floor- the belt loop disintigrated.

OK.... No spare sheaths per say. I grabbed a spare HSGI Taco, and shloop, the Rebar went to the bottom and hid. Damn. Grabbed the Surge which lives in an old school HSGI pistol mag carrier. Wow that thing sticks out a lot, very old school. Shake the Rebar out, put the Surge in the taco. And that fits pretty good. Throw the bit cards, hemo stats and pocketwrench in a pocket of my vest and I'm out the door.

Either my butt is getting stronger, or the Surge lost weight. I was expecting it to be heavy and annoying like the last time, and it rode fine. It just needs a sheath that holds it closer to the body. Still need to get a new sheath for the Rebar though.

I've been carrying the Bivy for several days after a while of not carrying it.  I rather like it, but it is a bit bulky/heavy.  Paired with my usual of course :tu:

What sheath was it ?

I'm glad it happened in my bedroom, not my bathroom. Fishing a leatherman out of the toilet sets a wrong tone for the day.

The sheath was the basic one for the Wave and Charge, I've had it for three years I think. Maybe four. Breezy sent it to me, and it's still servicable if I restitch it. But last night I ordered a leather sheath for it, so...
