Been awhile. But I discovered Leatherman Garage and some gear reviews, so I am back. Pretty sure the Climber and PM2 came from here over the years. Can not beat quality tools.

Welcome back

Great for lazy day at home shirt pocket minimalism and “pantless” early morning Zoom meetings on your day off…not that I’d know anything about that 🥹

I'm away from actual work for a few days for a PST course (Officer Safety) and had to bring my kit home.

The O/G Surge was covered in sandy smurf and was stuck in the dishwasher for a wash & blow dry

Lubing will take place over the weekend (same for the LM  ;)

Fall is in the air. I always seem to forget how compact these original Leatherman are!

Very nice photo. Thanks for sharing.
i'm spoiled for choice and often gravitate back to a carrying a PST or PST II.
Compact and not too heavy for my general use case.
P,S, The PST II scissors work great and are underrated IMHO.

I’ve been carrying a PST II lately and it’s been a lifesaver. Those scissors really are underrated.

Yeah, still carrying the PST II as EDC. Everything including scissors works really well and I don't mind that combo blade too much either. Besides some sub 4" frame models, this is one of the only plier based tools that I barely feel in my pocket next to my wallet (front pocket relatively slim jeans).

Same PST II but I may head into the woods today, so I grabbed something with a decent saw as well.

Always interesting EDC /tool posts customod. Thanks for sharing.
Do you have any URLs or info on that "SAK" left of the Leatherman Skeletool? It looks like a modded Victorinox Money Clip with extra goodness.
TIA.

Thanks Heywood! That was an Executive, so a 74mm just like the moneyclip. I modded some of the tools for special tasks and designed new scales. I wanted a slide-out pen like I was used to on a 58mm manager.

Here are some photos of the prototype phase. The fischer space pen ink tube fits in the slider, when the pen is out it is locked and the button on the side releases it to retract.

Thanks for the prompt response customod and great prototype build info. It turned out neat, sweet, petite. :-)
One of my first experiences with the pressurised fischer pen was eons ago when desperate to write a phone number down whilst in a foreign phone booth. It was devoid of any paper so improvised by writing on a vertical window pane.
