Since no one else is posting here...
on: November 27, 2006, 03:15:30 AM
I just got me one of those little tripod lights at Canadian Tire.  Pretty handy little thing.  Mine is branded Stanley, but I think it is one of the Garrity ones.  They look pretty identical.
I got the tiny keychain model because it was on sale, and to be honest, I kind of like this design.  I do believe there will be another on my future.

$10 at Canadian Tire... not a bad deal.  I got mine on sale for $7, and I'm pretty pleased with it.  Of course I tool the keyring off since I don't plan on keeping it on my keys, but it would be a very handy thing for a purse or small emergency bag in a car.  It actually throws a good amount of light and would be really handy for changing a tire at the side of the road at night.

Yeah I started it finally.  Seemed like folks were interested in one so it seemed like the right thing to do.

Hey just found this  :)  I have about 5 torchs , mostly mags and my Vic 2xAA led . A while back I really got into Surefire but with bills to pay I just couldnt justify a torch that cost so much to buy and so much to run and for most daily or should that be nightly tasks do you need a torch that can see further than you can .They are great lights and probably the best on the market but at the moment im back with mags and my little inova/Vic .

Thanks for adding the forum Def!  I like that little Stanley.  What batteries does it require?  I've seen the larger ones at Lowes, and the tripod looks very handy.

I will definitely be adding some new topics here soon.  I've been doing alot of interesting flashlight mods recently, and will be posting some tutorials, pics and beamshots.

The little Stanley takes watch cells I think.  I haven't had much of a chance to play with it lately, but hopefully I'll get a chance to dig into it today and take some pics.

Terry- I can't wait to see what cool light mods you've come up with!
