Soon to be a Quark Mini AA hopefully :)

I really liked the look of them as well.  Can I ask what it cost including P&P?
I didn't go down the US route, and bought it here instead :)

Cheers Mike.  Now I'm just wishing that it had a pocket clip. :-\

Yeah that would of been nice, as I could of used it as a headlamp then :-\

But it'll be clipped to a belt hanger anyway, so retention won't be a problem :)

A dangler clip works great on a Q-MiNi.  I've been carrying my AA that way for months now.

That's pretty cool.  :tu:

I'd love to have a device that charged USB-powered gadgets from 18650.  The fact that this has a USB flashlight head is just icing on the cake, really.

How reliable is the 18650 charger?  Do you know what charger algorithm it uses, and/or what voltage at which it cuts off?

Today's carry included a Leatherman Serac S3 and Peak LED Solutions 3-LED Matterhorn (stainless steel).

Carried an additional Inova X2 during an evening walk.

Surefire E1B (Backup)

I just read the directions again and I realized that you can turn the clickie off when you don't need it. That makes this light much more useful to me now.  :tu:

OK so I was trying a new, cheap 2xAAA light today at work.  I found that the 1xAA format I like to carry at other times just doesn't sit well with my overalls so I was looking for a 2xAAA light to try out the size/format.  This one is pretty basic and not of the highest quality but it was also cheap so I'll forgive it that.  A bit of a blue tinge to the LED but the output is just fine for detail work where you don't want to blind yourself, a claimed 40 Lumen.

Where did you get that Wild Cat light? 40 lumens is not shabby at all. It does look like a 3 or 4 cell as long as it is.

That might be the plan.

I picked it up in a TK Maxx (or TJ Maxx where you are).  I suspect the 40 Lumen is a bit optimistic but it's still a usable amount of light.  It is quite a long light as it's a focusable lens (flood to spot) and the head is a fair size.

That resembles the Dorcy 41-4254 sold in the USA.

The 2AAA format works very well for shirt pocket carry.  I use a 2ZZZ Fenix LD05 and Streamlight Stylus Pro.

Still carrying my Wild Cat/Dorcy at work, my Fenix L0D has been living on my keyring for a while now as well.  I'm sure I'll go back to the Monarch 300 at some point though.

I liked the look of that myself (not that I need one mind you) do you reckon it anything near the 160 lumen it claims?
