I prefer the term 'the enlightened'. Though the more I say it the more it sounds like a weird cult

I'm off doing more St John volunteer work today. Taking the Jet 3 with me on my Maxpedition H1 bit kit, alongside my charge and a meaty pair of clothing shears. (plus some more interesting bits)

Took the same kit with me when I was the match doctor at the boxing here a few weeks ago. Got some interesting injuries from that I tell you

Purchased and carried a Surefire 6PL-KX4 today. Took it for my hour walk, fed it with the
Tenergy rechargeables and they lasted exactly 1hr before the protection circuits kicked in
and the lamp went out. The kx4 head has an amazing amount of spill and is a super head
for walking at night.
I also looked at the new line the 6px-pro but decided against it being a little more power
than I need at the expense of runtime.

Nice light though.

I'm enjoying EDCing a TK20 at the moment. Its a surprisingly simple and satisfying light to use on a daily basis.

Used it at a firework display the other day to light the path on the way through the park to the display. It got lots of interested looks thanks to it's output - most other people were using very cheap incans.

It's that time of year (daylight savings) where my interest in flashlights starts to increase... So last night I pulled a few lights out of storage to "play" with.

I ended up carrying one of my old favorites today-- Peak Pacific brass.

It's an early US-made 120P (HAIII). It is fitted w/an HDS 2xCR123 body running a 17670 Li-Ion battery. HDS lights will accept 6.0V from 2xCR123, but that voltage is too high for the Novatac. You can also run 18650 in this body with some modification.

The body has given this light new life for me. I have sworn off of CR123/RCR123 lights for the most part, favoring the AA/14500 format. I just can't give this light up though because, IMO, it has the most versatile UI ever designed for a flashlight. The RA UI is basically the same, but with the RA I would be stuck with CR123/RCR123 and a really crappy pocket clip.

I've upgraded the emitter too...

Thanks Terry. Right you are about the pocket clip though. It is horrid. However is the best clip I have ever used for clipping a light to your hat for a headlamp which is pretty much what I carry my RA for.
