Who would have thought it?  I actually carried something other than my D25A Clicky!!  Decided to go with my Thrunite T10.  Actually a very good little 1xAA light that I would be carrying an awful lot more often if it wasn't for my Eagletac.

Almost every day I carry Armytek Predator. I choose any mode I need (for home, walking, my car). It's multifunctional light.

Been jamming this guy exclusively since I got it.

I do take out the D25AM when I am trail running, but no others have been seeing pocket time lately.

So Al persuaded Gareth out of Zebralights and Gareth persuaded Al into Eagletacs. :D I've been eyeing the D25A Clicky myself. ;) That and the S10 are the only flashlights that currently spike my interest. But then I remember that I have 20+ flashlights already and I really, REALLY don't need another flashlight. I was missing a good headlamp but that will be mended on monday. Tracking says it's in Croatia, but we don't get mail here on the weekends.

I carried my iTP A3 SS for the last few weeks but am thinking it's about time I added a larger flashlight to my pocket this evening. Probably the 47s Quark with the AA tube. (I should really get me some Li-ion batteries for it)

Al, did you have time to play with that nice copper AAA? :D

It is indeed the copper Worm. I am quite impressed with it.

At first I thought I might find the two modes to be lacking, but in reality they are 90% perfect for my daily tasks.

The low is great. The high is a slightly higher than I really need, but I suppose it's nice to have a bit extra sometimes. The beam profile is excellent. It's not a high CRI light, but the tint is pleasing.

How long have you had this? Are you digging it?

I'm trying to decide if I should go with an H600-series light, or the H502C.

The H600 probably has insane output, but I will be using it primarily for trail running, so weight is of concern for me.

Do you think the H600 would be bounce around if worn as a headlamp while running?

I didn't talk Gareth out of the Zebralight .... I tried to trade it with him, BUT I made the fatal error of letting him have a go with it first  :P Admittedly he did swear at it less than I normally do, but the look of confusion and incredulity on his face rivalled the look of intensity and determination on Cupboards face when he tried to operate a Strata's locks one handed

So which headlamp did you go for Nik? Silva Ninox?  :pok: :D :D

Olight EOS is on my "probably get" list too, and I've also been eyeing up 2xAA alternatives as the Quark has started being a little tempremental (prob needs a clean up of the threads etc - but buying something new seems to be a reasonable reaction to the problem too  :P)

The Cu AAA Maratac is nice. Plenty of patina on it, decent clip, and the levels are good, although I wish the low was a teeny bit higher

I liked the specs of the Ninox up until I read "The three AAA battery power source ...". I'm trying to get away from that. Regretfully most headlamp use that battery combo. ::) I was searching for a 1xRCR or 1xAA. My main choice was the Spark SG5 I linked Gareth to in his head torch thread but it was over the no VAT import limit and I paid a few customs fees this year. :( I was searching various forums for something in that category and found a guy from Slovenia, one border apart :D, selling a Zebralight H51w at a decent price. No customs fees, no long waiting for a delivery from Asia or the US. That tipped the scale in favor of the Zebralight. I didn't find the UI as bad as you did and after the initial ::) feeling learned to get along with it. I still think it would be better if they reversed the order so the short press would be for low and long press for high. The thing that annoys me is turning it off. I think you know what I mean. ;)

A few minutes with some rubbing alcohol on the threads and relubing it should do the trick. Or maybe the switch needs some tightening. There's a video on Going gear youtube page about that. It's too good of a flashlight to get replaced. :D I got a scare with mine about a month ago. I dropped it head first onto concrete from about 2 meters and when I picked it up it wouldn't turn on. I thought I killed it. But when I put the AA tube on it it started working again. Now it's working with all three tubes no problem.

The only reason I haven't gotten a Olight i3 EOS is cause it doesn't come in SS. :D I love the iTP versions of it. I've had/have 3 out of 4 versions (didn't get the original 1 mode version) before Olight started making them. The last SS version I liked the best but they aren't available anymore and I'd love a backup. :D So, please Olight, make a SS version. :pok: I'm not a big fan of aggressive knurling the Maratac versions of it have but the copper one looks sexy >:) But yes, a 3 lumen low would be better with maybe a lower high for longer runtimes.

I'm a flashlight luddite, so I'm about 400 yards behind you in terms of knowledge, but I'll try to keep up  :P

Firstly, the Maratac excessive knurling ... I only have this Cu version, and to be honest the knurling is perfect! Grippy but not "abrasive" (Excuse any typo's BTW - the rum and cola I'm on tonight has almiost got me "face typing") Defo worth trying one out if one comes up at the right price. It's not a "WOW" product (though I have bought mine "used" with patina) but it is one of those items you feel they got right. No flicker or hum, decent clip retention, blah blah blah .... try it  :pok:

Ninox! The light doesn't seem like a 3xAAA light. It doesn't seem big enough. I keep expecting some up coming actress to say "it's bigger on the inside" before appearing in fakes nude pics on Google  The UI takes a little "remembering" if you don't use it regularly, but not as infuriating as the Zebraturd ones  :P Being a luddite, I'm looking for someone more educated than me to tell me if I'm right in liking the Ninox, or if I'm deluding myself. I'm counting on you for that mate ...  :pok: :P :D :D :D The Spark seemed OK, but ... just didn't flick ne "need it" switch ... or at least not yet  ;)

Olight EOS ... I need purple, not stainless. If I go down the route I'm thiking about you'll see why  ;) As for stainless, I have the Preobn Revo which as far as I can see has no equal - even in the Klarus line   :-X

I'm more drunk than I though I was :nanadance: but that's a side issue

I need to pick up some silicone lube to try and tweak the Quark, but am not avwerse to trying something else too. The only thing I've noticed is that a lot of the other 2xAA lights seem very uninspuiring ... there doesnt seem to be much in that arena thats getting me giddy  :-\

Well I'm going to be wearing a suit this afternoon (a wedding to go to) so I've decide to go with something a lot smaller than my normal choice.  With that in mind I've picked out my Fenix E05.
