I carried a Streamlight Stylus Pro and ARC AAA-P during the day.

UPS delivered a new 200 lumen Inova T4 rechargeable flashlight this afternoon.

After a 2-hour charge, I used it during a mile long walk in a snow storm.  The T4 is now my brightest light.  Brought along a Surefire E2L, Inova T1, and ARC AAA-P as backups.

Went back to an oldie, fenix p3d-ce (r2). It developed excessive thread play, since I can't warranty it, it was downgraded to car light duty. Today I finally fixed it so it's back in pocket.

Thanks! It started as high polish but that didn't work well, fenix aluminum is too soft and scratches from just pocket carry. So I taped it to my drill and gave it a brushed finish.

I'm back to the NiteCore D10 today, running on 14500.  I just can't seem to keep this one out of my pocket.  I really like everything about it except for the ringy beam.  I will probably buy an XP-E version soon, which should solve that issue.

How did you fix the thread play?

I found some aluminum tape that's just the right thickness. Cut a strip to wrap around the thread on body tube, then install the head, and it's perfect, zero play. Kitchen foil won't work, they don't stay in place and either get pushed out or jam to top and short out the two contacts so it's on turbo all the time.

I tried to carry my Fenix LD20 in the Fenix sheath today, but it was uncomfortable.  I have a standard belt, maybe 2" wide...but the opening on the sheath is about 4"...so after a bit the sheath starts to swivel and just generally move around a piss me off:P

The LD20 itself is a great light, but it's going to be attached on the outside of my EDC pack from now on, or until I can find a decent sheath for it.  Another gripe about the sheath is that you can't fit the light in there with the pocket clip on it or the supplied lanyard due to the round plastic fastener on the lanyard.

My only gripe about the light itself is the tailcap switch..it's too small.  I wish it would be a little more pronounced/stick out a bit more.

All that and I didn't even use it today :twak:

I will be carrying this flood-to-throw 1xCR123/RCR123 light for one week.

Everytime I have a new light I always dismantle it, and then clean and lubricate the threads and o-rings. Notice the thick asperic lens.

The PCB is already desoldered from the pill in the picture. I moded this light from single mode to 5 modes by changing the PCB.

Maratac AAA.

Used it last night to peer into deep crevices, with the hopes of snagging the end of the cable coming through.

A little trip down memory lane for my with a Nuwei Q-III.  Considered OK in it's day (about 5 years ago) it's a little dated now to say the least.  It was however the first LED light I ever had that was worth it.

We've been having some nasty late night storms here in Indiana lately, lots of thunder, lightning, and gusty winds. I've been expecting some outages so for the past few days around the house I have been toting my Eagletac P100C2............

Fortunately the power has remained on.
