Could one of you fine Brit chaps explain what exactly is the "Duke of Edinburgh scheme" and why they need their own non-pointed SAK? ???

It is an organisation aimed at getting young teenagers out into the world.  Lots of camping and hiking but also volunteering and charity work I believe.  I guess the round tip is just a not to the fact it's a SAK aimed at kids rather than fully grow adults.  I'm not sure I agree, but it really doesn't bother me.  I'm actually just glad that they have a positive attitude to knives.  It should be noted that this is the only blunt tipped 91mm blade I can think of.

Here is the site:  http://www.dofe.org/

When I showed this SAK to my wife she actually got pretty angry.  She couldn't believe the round tipped blade, she thought it was insulting.  Me, I guess I'm pleased they at least recognise that a pocket knife is still an important tool.

Any ideas on a source for one of those?  I wouldn't mind having one!
