125th Anniversary Knives
on: May 19, 2009, 10:50:42 AM
Yestoday I picked up the 125th Anniversary knives I ordered.
I bought only the Climber and Classic.

The packages are very nice  (They got a magnatic close).

The Climber didn't came with a pin or small pat. screwdriver.

I really like those two and I would like to buy the SwissCard as well but 40$ for a SwissCard  ::)... (yeah I know you get wallet with it but I am after the SwissCard not the wallet).
I am wonder if in few months it will be possible to get the SwissCard and the CyberTool for reasonable price. The 1897-1997 knives still sold and for reasonable prices even then made 12 years ago. I wonder if those will be the same.

Here is my ann. collection:

You've some really nice knives there  :tu:

I'm not rushing out to get a 125th SAK.  I figure I'll get one via a trade or the like in the next few years.  That and being a bit tight/skint anyway :D
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

I wouldn't hold your breath. Given the dealer wholesale price, $40. for a SwissCard 125 is an excellent deal.

I opened my 125th Anniversary SwissCard Classic this weekend.  I was holding off as their not my favorite and they were so much more than the regular SwissCards. A deal came along so I snagged one; when I opened it I was suprised to find a Card Wallet... that's why it's so much more...  Looks nice, but it includes a mirror so they probably figure more women carry the SwissCard, or they figure you might need to signal for cash when you run out.  The red stitching is a nice touch.

I have the 125 set, the 1897-1997 set, and the 1884-1984 set.

I haven't opened the 125 set in maybe a year.

The Vic store in Seoul I get my goodies from still has 125 models and 1897-1997 models.

Better hurry if you want one!!! Baring Kim Jong Il pulling anohother stunt, we leave this place, for good, on 16 July 2010.

Already, the Department of MY Defense back home is expanding....FN Special Police 7.62mm NATO sniper rifle w/ Leupold Mark-4 scope purchased and awaiting my return.  Last night, HKparts.net and Brownells got a visit, and fixing to dump major $$$ at both websites.  Not to mention, my vehicles back home need new tires, etc.  Gun shows and gunshops back home are awaiting my arrival to come buy them out!!!!  3 years in gun-banned Korea will do that to you!!!

Here is a picture of 125th Red Climber and Black Spartan:

It looks great but the blade doesn't have 125th stamp on it.
I got it about two-three months ago., thanks to Neil who bought it for me from ebay (seller from Germany).

Nice!

I need to get some of those black scales.  Member meanx picked one up in South Africa as well recently, and NorthMan has had one for a year or so... apparantly an early concept/sales example or something.

I recently bought 125th Anniversary Climber but it came without 125 stamped on the blade, but the scales are from 125th edition- is these Climber from 125th edition or not?

Probably not Vladimir. I have seen where people somehow got the 125th scales and started putting them on different SAKS to sell them off eBay. If it does not have the blade stamp, then chances are it is not official 125th Vic gear. Now Smokey Mountain Knife Works did have some exclusive knives with the blade stamp minus the special scales made for them. It is possibly that there might be other exclusives out there I am unaware of.

The black ones are beautiful.

Are those black ones actually 125th anniversary models? Or could it be some other series?
You should seriously visit vicfan.com. All the hoopy froods are doing it.

listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky,
is by no means a waste of time
