  • Why is it doing that?
Interesting idea about how the SAK wire stripper could be put to use: link.

I think Alcohol, Tabacco and Firearms should be a convenience store, not a government agency.

I have no idea if that's the way it was meant to be used but it looks like a good idea to me.  :tu:

I have to say though (having just looked at the Huntsman in my pocket) that the wire stripper gets an awfully long way away from the blade if it's anything other than a two layer knife.

Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

Nice, I have tried stripping wire with my SAK with little success. Wish I knew this method then

Did anyone see the last post in that thread? SOmeone sharpened the wire stripper on the SAK so it cuts up to the copper. Looks like a very nifty mod.

I think it would be cool if MultiTool.org had a tips and tricks sticky for SAKs. I bet there is a lot of SAK how-tos

I tried this mod today, sharpening the wire stripper. I had some old bits in my kit, given to me by a buddy who used to build missles for the military. The bits were these tiny little grinding bits, just the right size to fit into my Dremel. The job took about 10 minutes, going very slowly. The stripper now strips like there's no tomorrow. A very nice mod.
