RangerGrip 60/75
on: May 19, 2009, 10:30:37 PM
I'm kind of a sentimental fool, and as such I only have one SAK...you know, the Super Tinker that I mention every chance I get. :D

I'm thinking about upgrading to either a RangerGrip 60 or 75 in the next month or two.  Would either of those be a fairly decent replacement for the Super Tinker?  Has anyone EDC'd those with a Leatherman MT to see how well they partnered?

Thanks!

Yeah they are huge, not something I'd pocket unless I had a jacket on.

I typically keep all my kit in my backpack, so pocketing isn't a concern for me.

If you (or most likely the people around you) have no problem with the almost 4" blade, then go for it.

Yes, go for it.

The 75 and the Super Tinker would make a nice team.

Super Tinker is a great SAK, but RangerGrip will take you to another level of performance with its big locking mainblade and woodsaw.

With both a Leatherman and a RangerGrip in your rucksack, you'd be very well prepared for most situations.  Certainly better prepared than 99% of people out on the street.

In fact, you'd be well prepared even for wilderness situations.  Go for the RangerGrip!

What's wrong with 4" ?  :pok:
