Payday is it?  :D  I'll be interested in your thoughts as to whether the X is any real advantage over the standard Spirit.

Dunc bought a Vic multi!?!  I don't believe it.

Hello to all members of this great forum!

I just got my SwissTool Spirit >>3.0224.CCH<< a few days ago and I just wanted to post some pics, so you can really see, that it´s worth all the money.
Oh by the way: did you know that the carrying case is made of specially coated nylon so it has a very low IR-signature, it is exactly the same material that Navy SEAL´s, and RECONS use, not very cheap by the way  :D

By clicking onto the thumbs you can see the high-res pics I made!

As you can see the tool is almost "swimming" in the special Multi-Tool Oil, but that is all originally done by the Victorinox crew at Ibach, Swiss; although I like my multi-tools very good oiled, too.  :D

The Victorinox logo is printed onto the carrying case with special "ink", that also does not reflect a lot of visible and IR-light.

So all in all I am very pleased with this special tool. It is something that is quite limited compared to the overflooded world of SAK´s, but hey: I love them too!  :climber:

Greetings from good old Germany!
 :)  :salute:  ;)

Gah! You got me there... :) I expect mine to arrive next week. For those that didn't get it, this is the BO Spirit X with the cap crimper head that is currently (supposedly) issued to the Swiss Army.

Exactly, the swiss army ordered 10.000 pieces of these. I was not aware of it´s official name in the states.

Anyone who is saving money for a new tool: try to get this one. It is quite an impressive tool, with great sheath, too.

 :)

It has no official name in the states, much like the BO Spirit S has no (that I know off) official name in Europe. Will it be a user or a shelf queen? I intend to have the BO on mine scratched within the first week. :D

Hmm, that is a hard question. But I rather tend it to be the shelf queen of my tools.

I hate scratches on the cool black oxide finish.  :o

Wow what a nice welcoming here!

I got mine from messerjoker.de ("knifejoker" translated in english), which is the most reliable and cheapest dealer of the whole product range from Victorinox that I know, at least in my country. His website is a little boring, but if you ask him by mail he is able to get EVERY product quickly from them. Mr. Drexl (owner of messerjoker.de) is also listed as an official dealer of Victorinox and MAGlite in Germany as well.

The Victorinox products in the US are much more cheaper, than in Europe, I think it is probably because of the different VAT, but US citizens have to wait a little bit longer for new stuff from them, so everything comes around I guess.   ;)

I think, when the first scratches will be on my tool as well, I might find it cool, too!  :tu:
