A friend over at British blades has done a very good job of re-blading a LM Wave . I had a word with him and he said it was fine to link to his thread and hes going to come and have a look over here and maybe join  :D  hope he does as I think hes got alot to offer . There are pics of the finnished item later in the thread and rather good it looks too  ;)

I agree- I just had a look at that other thread and you seem like you will fit in perfectly here!  No word on whether that's truly a compliment or not though... :P

Although I did find one bit particularily interesting...

if anyone is interested I can make these in a profitable timescale

I'd love to have a LM done like that.  PM me with details if you are up for it.

It might be possible .. I would have too see one to be positive though.

The most challengne part would be the Pin's as they dont seem to be removeable. Although I have been known to make custom pin's up before. But you would have to replace all 4 for it to match and making pin's is not my favorate game.

Sweeet.

J-Sews is quite keen on the One Handed Blade mod to the Spirit (as am I!) and he actually had a go at successfully sorting out the pins...

So please tell us how you do that fancy work on the back of the blades knife-man. (I'm certain there is more to it than simply hacking away with a needle file!) Do you have a plan in mind before you begin? Some sort of carefully laid out procedure?

Yes, no and yes. bascially you juct hack it away with warious files. You need to have some Idea of what you plan because you need to mark out to get the spacing even but I dont have a particually clear idea of what it's going to be untill its somewhere near finished ... when your working one slip can ruin a peice to the point when you have to re-design each bit to make it match.

It painstaking and labourious and it messes your eye's up something rotten Esp when you wear glasses and have to take them off and put them back on all the time  :D.

The hard part if figuring it out But you can do almost anything if you have the time. Even a prehardened blade if you have LOT's of time and diamond files.
