I like what CRKT is doing. They're not getting into the Vic/Leatherman/SOG/Gerber race.Modularity is the way to go
Very interesting concept! I'd expect nothing less from the fertile minds of the i.d. Works guys. So Dave, what all are we seeing here? Am I correct in that there is a single frame (the part with two carabiner gates) and then a number of interchangable modules? From your pics I see a:1) knife blade module2) bit driver / bit carrier / LED module3) wine/waiters tool module4) LED module5) flash drive module
Adjustable wrench! It's gotta have an adjustable wrench! Definitely the best feature on the Guppie.
I did this one ages ago after we had the thread over on SOSAK about upgrading the memory. Same issue as with the straight flash drive swap out, what do you do with all the extra room? In this case there's space to store another half dozen cards behind the adapter Which brings me back on topic. Nice though this modular concept is, I do have to wonder what the advantage is of having such a large module is to store something as tiny as a modern card reader. They could have at least integrated something else with that module. So what other modules would we like to see them produce? Does the screwdriver module take stubby bits like the Get Away Driver or does it use standard ones?
Other modules that I could think of? A rescue blade module, a choice of blade edges, and steels,an adjustable jaws wrench module,a wood saw,and a metal saw/file all would nice for starters. And for some us....... a spork module
